New Subscriber Question
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Hi Joe,
Okay…in response to your question, lets say that by some miracle I can do every aspect of internet marketing…for example, setting up a site on my own domain and installing scripts and the like…autoresponders the works…what is the one thing that I should be focusing my efforts on?
My common sense tells me to make my own product aimed at the im crowd (selling shovels)…but the truth is not having made much money at all online I dont feel qualified…so where does that leave me?
Maybe products aimed at niche markets?…screen captures of some description maybe..or even physical products?
Any advice is more than welcome…
Anyhow…I’d be interested to hear your views/advice on the above.
many thanks
Paul Oliver

MY RESPONSE
=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Hi Paul,
Thanks for writing.
The #1 thing you should be focusing your efforts on is BUILDING A HUGE LIST and then immediately selling something at a very low price.
My first product was to the IM crowd and I didn’t feel qualified either. Forget it and do it anyway.
I should preface that with: Do it on topics that you actually know something about. Like a new website you just found that has large implications for affiliate marketers.
Or a list of the top 50 websites to buy paid advertising on for selling to the “IM” or make money markets.
Or video tutorials on how to make squeeze pages, or use drupal to manage content sites or how to use php includes to update content site-wide with one file.
The possibilities are endless - I would stay away from making a product about “making money” unless you have already done so. So no fake income claims or anything unethical.
My web guy just made his first product: a membership site with video tutorials on web basics (the tech stuff).
See: http://mhminc.coreyl.hop.clickbank.net?pid=2
He already has over a hundred customers paying him a nominal fee monthly. And his marketing is mediocre at best. (Don’t hate me Corey). So it’s true what he says:
YOU DON’T HAVE TO GET IT RIGHT,
YOU JUST HAVE TO GET IT GOING!

The BEST products are ones that help other people do more of what they ALREADY WANT TO DO.
So for instance: Affiliate marketers want to promote other peoples products and make a commission.
So a HOT SELLER would be a pre-built affiliate package or toolkit for a SPECIFIC affiliate program.
The kit could include a affiliate squeeze page that pre-sells the affiliate product while building their list.
5 autoresponder follow-up emails to close more sales - content based emails.
Maybe a secondary product they could GIVE AWAY to generate more sales.
Make the bonus report PLR and actually allow them to RENAME the report and change the graphics, add their own name - everything.
That way each person who buys can seemingly make a UNIQUE bonus to give away to make more sales.
This idea I just gave you is a GREAT example of something you could easily put together with a little effort.
In fact, I like the idea so much I might do something like this myself.
Oh - another idea just came - I couldn’t turn off my WACKY brain if I wanted to.
Anyway - what would happen if you were very FAST, and could find out about the BIG LAUNCHES before they happened… and you could quickly create these affiliate “toolkits” and then sell them before each launch to affiliates to use to make more money during the launch?
Basically you’d be doing their bonus war promotions for them - at least for the laziest (also the majority BTW).
By now I’m sure you wondering why I took the time out of my day to give such an in depth response to your question.
It’s because I do enjoy helping people and I will be posting this for ALL my subscribers to see on the blog.
Take Care,
JL
